Diwali is a time for new beginnings, and for the investing community, Muhurat Trading is a tradition that makes the occasion even more special.
As we get ready to welcome Samvat 2083, we're making this year's celebrations even better. On Sunday, 8th November 2026, you can participate in the special Muhurat Trading session on Millions and enjoy ₹0 brokerage on Stocks, F&O, ETFs, and Mutual Funds throughout the session.
With the session just around the corner, here's everything you need to know about the trading schedule, zero brokerage offer, and a few important changes to trading activities on 8th November.
Muhurat Trading Timings: Sunday, 8th November 2026
Muhurat Trading will take place on Sunday, 8th November 2026. Since different market segments have different session timings, here's a complete breakdown to help you plan your trades.
Celebrate Muhurat Trading with ₹0 Brokerage on Millions
What's a celebration without something extra?
To mark the occasion, we're offering ₹0 brokerage on all trades during the Muhurat Trading session. This means you can participate across multiple segments without paying brokerage.
Here's how it works:
Your contract note will reflect zero brokerage directly. However, statutory charges such as STT, exchange charges, GST and stamp duty will continue to apply as usual, wherever applicable.
Important Things to Know Before Muhurat Trading
Muhurat Trading is a special trading session and also a settlement holiday. Because of this, certain activities, including margins, pledges, MTF, SIPs and withdrawals, may work differently compared to a regular trading day.
Here are a few things to keep in mind before placing your first trade of Samvat 2083.
After Market Orders (AMOs)
Planning to place an order before the special session? AMOs placed after 4:00 PM on Friday, 6th November will be sent to the exchange at market open on Sunday, 8th November.
Intraday Auto Square-off Timings
Since Muhurat Trading has a shorter trading window than a regular market session, intraday positions will be squared off at revised timings.
Here's the segment-wise schedule:
Make sure you account for these timings while managing your intraday positions.
Margins & Limits
MTM profits and option premium received from trades on Friday, 6th November will not be available as margin on 8th November. Keep this in mind while planning your positions and margin requirements for the session.
BTST (Buy Today, Sell Tomorrow)
There's a difference between regular equity cash BTST and MTF BTST during this session.
- Normal equity cash BTST is allowed: Shares bought on Friday, 6th November can be sold on Sunday, 8th November.
- MTF BTST is not allowed: Shares bought under MTF on Friday, 6th November cannot be sold on 8th November.
Shortfall & Ageing
On 8th November, the RMS team will square off positions only for margin shortfall and at the scheduled auto square-off times.
There will be no square-off for ageing debit and MTF margin shortfall that day.
Pledge & Unpledge
Pledge requests will be accepted between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM on 8th November, instead of the usual 9:00 PM cut-off.
The collateral limit will continue to work as usual. However, unpledge requests will not be accepted on 8th November.
Stock & ETF SIPs
Have Stock or ETF SIPs scheduled for 8th November? All Stock and ETF SIPs due on this day, across every frequency, will be sent to the exchange around 2:35 PM.
This also includes SIPs that have a preferred execution time.
Before You Head Into the Session
A little preparation can go a long way. Before Muhurat Trading begins, make sure you've checked your available funds, reviewed your open positions and pending orders, and taken note of the revised intraday square-off timings.
Also, remember that statutory charges continue to apply even when brokerage is zero.
We recommend going through the above details so you know what to expect and can plan your trades accordingly.

Muhurat Trading is more than just another trading session. It's a chance to celebrate new beginnings, look ahead, and be part of a tradition that brings the investing community together.
