NSE IPO at a glance
The NSE IPO was a fully offered-for-sale issue. This basically means existing shareholders sold their shares through the issue. The company won’t receive any of the proceeds from this offer.

About NSE
NSE operates as India’s major stock exchange. Its businesses cover areas such as equity trading, derivatives, market data, indices and other financial market services. The company has a large presence in India’s capital markets and earns a significant part of its income from transaction-related activities.
NSE reported consolidated revenue from operations of about ₹14,780 crore in FY24, which increased to around ₹17,141 crore in FY25 before coming down to about ₹16,601 crore in FY26.
Its profit after tax stood at about ₹8,306 crore in FY24, ₹12,188 crore in FY25 and ₹10,302 crore in FY26. So, while the company remains highly profitable, FY26 revenue and profit were lower than the previous year.
What happens next?
After the NSE IPO application status is out, if the shares are allotted to you, they are expected to be credited to your demat account on September 23. You can then wait for the September 24 listing. Since the IPO was subscribed several times overall, not every applicant is guaranteed an allotment. The exact number of shares you receive will depend on the allotment process for your category.
And if you don’t get the allotment, your application money should be unblocked by September 23. You can always track and invest in NSE shares after listing, like any other stock.
