Abbott settles the Gill case and ~2,000 NEC claims for $670 million. A St. Louis jury previously awarded $495 million in damages in July 2024. The Missouri Court of Appeals denied Abbott's appeal in December 2024. The settlement avoids paying ~$600 million for the Gill judgment plus interest.
