JSW Energy installed capacity reaches 15.1 GW after adding 1.7 GW

JSW Energy's total installed capacity reached 15,147 MW after adding 1,694 MW since April 2026. Renewable energy projects account for ~61% (9,189 MW) of the operational portfolio. NCLT sanctions GE Power India-JSW Energy demerger scheme

NCLT Mumbai Bench sanctioned the scheme of arrangement between GE Power India and JSW Energy on October 1, 2026. The order was passed under Sections 230 to 232 of the Companies Act, 2013. Shareholders and creditors approved the scheme in July 2026 following earlier board approvals. A certified copy of the sanction order is awaited before the effective date is announced.

JSW Energy allots ₹500 crore NCDs at 7.90% coupon for 7-year tenure

Allotted 50,000 NCDs aggregating ₹500 crore via private placement. Coupon rate fixed at 7.90% with a 7-year tenure. Principal redeemed in three tranches starting September 2031. Instruments are unsecured and listed on BSE.

JSW Energy completes equipment orders for 3,200 MW Salboni thermal project

JSW Energy has finalized turbine-generator orders for the full 3,200 MW Salboni thermal project. A contract was signed with Toshiba JSW for the 1,600 MW Phase-II turbine-generator supply. Equipment orders for both Phase-I (1,600 MW) and Phase-II (1,600 MW) are now complete.

APTEL allows JSW Energy subsidiary IDC claim in CERC dispute

APTEL allowed JSW Hydro Energy's IDC claim, overturning CERC's 2022 disallowance. Claim covers notional interest on equity exceeding 30% during construction. Tribunal remanded matter to CERC for prudence check of submitted data. Carrying costs to be reckoned from true-up petition filing date.
