Tower Semiconductor and NewPhotonics began high-volume shipments of laser-integrated optical engines for AI infrastructure. Current PICs support 800G to 1.6T data rates using the PH18DA silicon photonics platform. Volume shipment of 6.4T NPC505 chipsets is expected in the first half of 2027. TSEM shares rose 8.05% to $218.48, outpacing the Nasdaq gain of 1.45%.
