  • Shiprocket is raising ₹1,617.48 crore, which combines fresh capital with a chunky OFS from investors and founders, and the shares are priced between ₹92 and ₹97.
  • The subscription remains open from 12th August to 14th August, and the listing is expected on 19th August, 2026.
  • Shiprocket is the largest new-age, end-to-end e-commerce enablement platform in India in terms of revenue in FY25. It is involved in shipping, fulfilment, and checkout, serving lakhs of merchants.
  • The revenue is growing fast, but the company is still posting losses. There is no identifiable promoter holding the reins.

If you've ever ordered something from a small Instagram brand or a D2C skincare label, there's a decent chance the product was delivered by Shiprocket. This logistics-tech company currently powers a significant chunk of online sellers in India, and it’s opening up its own IPO.

The bidding for the Shiprocket IPO will open on 12th August, 2026, and it closes on Friday, 14th August, 2026. It’s a book-built issue worth ₹1,617.48 crore. The IPO includes a fresh issue of 9.13 crore shares that would raise ₹885.50 crore and an OFS of 7.55 crore shares worth ₹731.98 crore.

The price band of the IPO ranges between ₹92 and ₹97 per share, with a face value of ₹10. Subscribers can bid in lot sizes of 154 shares, which retail investors would need around ₹14,938 to bid for a single lot at the upper end of the price. The allotment of shares is scheduled for 17th August, 2026.

If you get any shares, they are likely to be credited to your demat account in time when they are listed on 19th August, 2026. The shares will be listed on both BSE and NSE.

The book-running duties will be carried out by Axis Capital Ltd along with BOFA Securities India, JM Financial, and Kotak Mahindra Capital. KFin Technologies is the registrar for this IPO.

Shiprocket IPO details

Shiprocket started its journey in 2011 as a simple shipping platform, the kind of tool a small online seller would use to book a courier and print a label. Today, it’s grown into one of the largest new-age, end-to-end e-commerce enablement platforms in terms of revenue.

It’s the tech backbone for a massive chunk of MSMEs, D2C brands, and even large retailers selling products online in India.

The main function of the business is its shipping business. Merchants using Shiprocket get instant pickups and can track their orders. However, Shiprocket is not limited to a one-trick shipping app.

The company has expanded its services into cargo and fulfilment, which includes Shiprocket Omuni for managing online and offline stores together. Other services include cross-border shipping, advertising and marketing tools. Its “Emerging Business” segment helps merchants boost sales and conversions beyond logistics.

The international piece is bigger than many people expect. Shiprocket runs five major shipping lanes that connect India to the US, UK, Canada, Europe, and Singapore. Through this network, it served customers across 146 countries in FY26.

The platform also offers fulfilment centres and heavy cargo logistics. It provides customs-supported cross-border shipping, checkout and payment tools through Fastrr, and even business loans through lending platforms. Shiprocket Quick provides hyperlocal delivery to customers.

Basically, if a merchant needs something to get a product from a warehouse to the doorstep of a customer, or to be funded, or checked out faster, Shiprocket wants to be the one product doing it.

In terms of revenue, the company runs a usage-based model. This means merchants make payments based on the extent to which they use the platform, shipments processed, number of transactions, or order value handled.

The revenue generated from operations has consistently increased between FY24 and FY26. It rose from ₹1,315.98 crore in FY24 to ₹1,632.01 crore in FY25, while it reached ₹2,024.14 crore in FY26. During the same period, the adjusted EBITDA increased from ₹72.17 crore to ₹186.64 crore.

Should you apply for this issue?

Shiprocket has an impressive growth trajectory. But the company has still made losses. Before you subscribe to the IPO for shares, it’s logical to weigh its pros and cons.

Pros of investing in Shiprocket

  • High margin: Shiprocket doesn't own any delivery fleet or fulfilment centres. The company has its own technology infrastructure on which it operates. Therefore, it can add new services even if it does not spend heavily on capital.
  • Diversified merchants: The company has 214,769 active merchants. Interestingly, the revenue contributed by the top 20 of these merchants is less than 18%. This means the business has a well-diversified merchant base.
  • Data advantage: Since 2016, Shiprocket has recorded over 730 million transactions while catering to 155 million consumers. This gives a data moat to the company that’s difficult for a newer competitor to replicate.
  • Losses are narrowing: From FY24 to FY26, the loss incurred by the company significantly reduced from ₹595.18 crore to around ₹79 crore. The company also recorded a 24% growth in revenue. This trend shows that the business is inching closer to break-even.

Cons of investing in Shiprocket

  • Still making losses: In FY26, the company posted a restated loss of close to ₹79 crore. With negative earnings, the IPO is priced at a negative P/E. Investors won’t enjoy any profitability cushion as of now.
  • No identifiable promoter: After listing, the shareholding would be 100% public with no promoter group. This points to more professional governance, but it also means there’s no single long-term anchor to steer the ship.
  • Revenue is dependent on merchants: Almost all the income flow of the company is dependent on merchants, and the extent to which they sell, ship, or transact. A slowdown in web traffic, merchant sales, or other volumes would directly affect the company’s business.
  • Cash flow has been shaky: In FY24, the operating cash flow of ₹215.99 crore was negative. While it turned positive in FY25 and FY26 (₹1.90 crore and ₹52.64 crore), it remains thin relative to the scale of the business.
  • A big chunk of the IPO is an exit: About 45% of the issue size is an OFS, as investors and founders are cashing out. This means a smaller part of the full amount would be actually used to build the business.

Conclusion

Shiprocket has genuinely built something merchants rely on. It serves as an e-commerce enablement platform with scale, data, and sticky cross-selling that most competitors can't match. With the losses now narrowing and revenue growth picking up a steady pace, the business seems to be heading in the right direction.
