CME Group plans to launch European dairy futures and options by end of 2026. New contracts cover Skimmed Milk Powder, Butter, Whey Powder, and Liquid Milk. U.S. dairy complex saw 42% YoY increase in average daily open interest in September. Contracts will initially track EEX indices before transitioning to CME indices.

CME Corn futures hit a record daily volume of 1,206,376 contracts on October 9. The previous record of 1,128,597 contracts was set in March 2019. Agriculture business average daily volume rose 18.1% YoY in Q3 to 2,022,488 contracts. Corn futures average daily volume increased 35.2% YoY in Q3 to 502,004 contracts.
