*The AUM and industry rank are based on the latest independently available data used during research and can change over time. Check the latest disclosed figures when comparing AMCs.
Unlike an established fund house with schemes spread across numerous categories, Unifi currently has one scheme across equity, debt and hybrid categories. This gives the AMC a relatively focused mutual fund range.
Its equity investment approach emphasises studying individual businesses. The Unifi Flexi Cap Fund, for instance, follows a bottom-up approach and looks for growth businesses across market capitalisations. In a bottom-up approach, the investment team studies individual companies and their prospects rather than selecting a stock simply because it belongs to a particular sector or market segment.
CIO Saravanan VN leads the investment team. He has more than two decades of experience across fund management, capital-market research, banking and audit, and has been associated with the Unifi group since 2006. Other fund managers associated with the AMC include Aejas Lakhani, Karthik Srinivas and Aman Reddy Kakani.
There is an important distinction here if you are assessing the fund house. Experience within the investment team does not give the mutual fund schemes themselves a longer performance history. Unifi only started launching mutual fund schemes in 2025, so the track record of the schemes remains relatively short.

The equity offering is the Unifi Flexi Cap Fund. The scheme can invest across large cap, mid cap and small cap companies instead of being restricted to one market-cap segment. Its stated objective is long-term capital appreciation through active management and bottom-up investing across sectors and market capitalisations.
The Unifi Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund is its hybrid offering. The scheme can invest in a dynamically managed portfolio of fixed-income instruments, equity, equity derivatives and other permitted instruments.
The third scheme is the Unifi Liquid Fund. It belongs to the debt category and invests in debt and money-market instruments according to the investment framework applicable to liquid funds.
These three schemes are not substitutes for each other. They serve different investment needs and carry different risks.
Unifi Mutual Fund is registered with SEBI under registration number MF/082/24/08. Unifi Asset Management Private Limited manages the schemes, while Unifi Mutual Fund Trustee Private Limited acts as the trustee company. HDFC Bank Limited is the custodian and Computer Age Management Services Limited, or CAMS, is the registrar and transfer agent.
The AMC manages investments according to each scheme’s investment objective. The trustee provides oversight, while the custodian holds the scheme’s securities.
The risk depends on the individual scheme and what it owns.
Thus, Unifi being a SEBI-registered mutual fund tells you about the regulatory structure within which it operates. It does not guarantee your capital or future returns.
3-year returns vs category comparison
The Unifi Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund was allotted on 13 March 2025, followed by the Unifi Flexi Cap Fund on 5 June 2025 and the Unifi Liquid Fund in June 2025. As none of these schemes has completed three years, a 3-year scheme return comparison is not yet available.
5-year returns vs category comparison
Similarly, 5-year returns are not available because Unifi began launching mutual fund schemes only in 2025. As the schemes mature, you can compare their 3-year and 5-year performance with the respective category averages.
You must note that past performance may or may not continue in the future. Therefore, use it as one part of your research rather than a guarantee of future returns.
Minimum investments can differ between schemes. For example, Unifi’s current information for the Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund specifies a minimum fresh lump-sum investment of Rs. 5,000, an additional purchase of Rs. 1,000 and SIP investments starting from Rs. 500. Check the Scheme Snapshot for the latest minimum applicable to the particular scheme before investing.
You can also use the SIP calculator in the Tools section on Millions. Suppose you are considering investing Rs. 10,000 each month. Enter the monthly investment, period and an assumed rate of return to estimate what the investment could potentially grow to over that period.
The calculator figure is only an estimate. Mutual fund returns are market-linked so the actual value can be higher or lower.
If you are comparing Direct and Regular Plans, remember that both invest in the same underlying scheme portfolio. Direct Plans do not include distributor commission and therefore generally have a lower expense ratio than Regular Plans of the same scheme.
Before you invest, understand what the scheme holds, check the risks involved and choose an investment amount that fits comfortably within your finances.
