  • Mutual Fund units are not instantly visible in your portfolio after placing an order. First, they need to be officially allotted by the Asset Management Company (AMC) that manages the fund. This allotment process usually takes 2–3 business days. Once the allotment is complete, the purchased units will then appear in your portfolio.

  • The Net Asset Value (NAV) of a mutual fund is the price of each unit of the fund. NAV is updated every business day (Monday to Friday) after market hours. It is released by the Asset Management Companies (AMCs), usually by 9 PM. The NAV shown on any day is based on the previous day’s closing value. Example: On Monday, you will see Friday’s NAV. NAV is not updated on Saturdays, Sundays, or market holidays. Some funds, like Fund of Funds (FoF), may update their NAV only once a week instead of daily.

  • The NAV you get for your mutual fund order depends on the cut-off time and your payment method. Cut-off times for getting the same day’s NAV:

    1. Liquid & Overnight Funds: Order before 12:30 PM

    2. Other Schemes (Equity, Debt, Hybrid, etc.): Order before 2:00 PM

    3. Redemption Orders: Place before 3:00 PM

Please note that for purchases, the payment method matters - To get the same day’s NAV, place your order before the cut-off time and pay via UPI or Netbanking (select banks only). If you pay using other methods, the AMC may not receive the money in time, and you’ll get the next business day’s NAV. For redemption orders, only the cut-off time matters, not the payment method.

  • The NAV is updated every day after market hours from Monday to Friday and is released by the AMCs by the end of the day, typically by 9 PM. For this reason, the NAV you see during the day reflects the value from the previous business day. The NAV is not updated on Saturdays, Sundays, or market holidays. If you still believe the NAV is incorrect, kindly share a screenshot of the error with us at help@millionshq.com so we can investigate the issue further.

  • To check the status of your Mutual Fund orders: Open the millions app and go to the Mutual Funds section. Tap on the Orders tab. Here, you’ll see the status of all your Mutual Fund transactions including purchases, redemptions, and SIPs. Please note: It usually takes 1–2 business days for the fund house (AMC) to confirm the allotment of units. Once confirmed, the units will be visible in your portfolio.

  • If you see fewer redeemable units than your total units, it usually means that some of your units are pledged. When you pledge units, they are used as collateral to get margin benefits. These pledged units are locked and cannot be redeemed until you unpledge them. To redeem, go to the Pledge section on the millions app and unpledge your units first. Once unpledged, they will become available for redemption.
